Aims

The aim of the Construction Technology Program is to equip Construction Technicians with theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Students will;

  • have information about all kinds of building materials to be used in construction,
  • have the knowledge and skills about the construction of solid, stable, earthquake resistant structures suitable for the purpose,
  • have information about the construction site organization,
  • gain knowledge and skills on quantity, exploration and progress payment,
  • draw (AUTOCAD) and Static-Reinforced Concrete calculations using computer programs, (IDECAD, IDE Architecture IDE Static… 3D Drawing Programs)
  • be able to do experiments on soil mechanics, building materials, concrete, asphalt materials,  
  • gain basic knowledge and skills on highway, drinking water and steel structures,
  • have information about the types and causes of damage in existing buildings and the strengthening of these buildings,
  • gain basic knowledge and skills about new building techniques and building materials,
  • have basic knowledge about professional practices.
